I received an email from a client who spilled Paul Newman salad dressing on her new HCT silk carre´ and let’s face it, who hasn’t?!
All 3 of these methods worked well to remove an oil based salad dressing from our printed silk charmeuse.
Method #1
A lay the silk out flat and pat baking soda onto the spot leave lying flat for 24 hours
B wash using regular soap (I use “Woolite”)
C hang dry
D low iron to restore the luster of the silk
Method #2
A spray the area with “Shout”
B hand wash immediately

using regular laundry soap or after leaving the “Shout” to soak in for a bit for larger stains

Our silk is very colorfast and can handle regular garment detergents even Shout. Just don’t rub too vigorously, leave the Shout to soak in for larger stains.
